About Us

DESATERA SDN BHD (hereinafter referred to as DSB) is one of the largest Food and Support Services Company in Malaysia and South East Asia. DSB is originated from two Malay words “DESA” and “TENTERA”, which literally means army village. DSB is a subsidiary of Dewina Holdings Sdn Bhd and the company was established by Dato’ Seri Haji Ibrahim Bin Haji Ahmad in 1997.

DSB is involved in the “Privatisation of Military Cookhouse” and the project is a joint venture between Dewina Holdings and Koperasi Angkatan Tentera through its subsidiary Wiramaju Sdn Bhd.

The first privatisation agreement or the pilot project was signed between Desatera and the Government of Malaysia in 1999. The camps involved in the pilot project were Sungai Besi Camp, TUDM Kuala Lumpur and TUDM Subang. The success of the project resulted in DSB being awarded the expansion of the “Privatisation of Military Cookhouse” in Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

The military cook house involved totalling 65 camps situated throughout central and southern peninsular Malaysia and feeding the rank of corporal and below. We serve approximately 23,000 pax with 6 meals per day, every single day without fail.
